Description

Biochem/physiol ActionsDBA has anti-A1 human blood group specificity, useful for distinguishing between A1 and A2 blood types. DBA has strong anti-Cad activity,1 and has an affinity for terminal N-acetyl-α-D-galactosaminyl residues.2 Conjugates are prepared from affinity purified lectin.
Preparation NotePrepared from peroxidase type VI (P8375) using a modification of the method of O'Sullivan3, which favors low molecular weight conjugates.
